MAORI RETURNED MEN
Progress is being made by the Rehabilitation Board in securing land for the settlement of Maori returned soldiers. The chairman (Mr. M. Moohan) and members of the board left Wellington last night for Rotorua to inspect several areas and also to confer with representatives of the Maori race regarding the establishment of a trades training school for Maori returned servicemen. The members of the board will also visit Tauranga and inspect the series of farms given by Mr. George Alley for land settlement of returned servicemen. These will be administered under the new legislation passed by Parliament this week.
