PAHIATUA, October 22

A complimentary dinner to Mr. and Mrs. T. F. C. Elliott, the parents of Sergeant Keith Elliott, V.C, was tendered by the Pahiatua County and Borough Councils. The M.P. for the district, Sir Alfred Ransom, proposed a toast to the V.C. winner.

Later, at a V.C. ball, sponsored by the Pahiatua Patriotic Committee, an illuminated address was presented on behalf of the combined .local bodies to Mr. and Mrs. Elliott.
