VISIT TO WAR ZONE

SYDNEY, October 4. A flying visit to the New1 Guinea battle zone has been made by the Australian Minister of Air, Mr: A. S. Drakeford. He returned to Australia during the weekend, and he will report immediately to Cabinet. The Minister visited both the Owen Stanley Range area and Milne Bay. Mr. Drakeford stressed that it should not be deduced that .there is likely to be any cessation or weakening in the enemy activity. But he said that the Australian troops knew that, given the equipment, they could deal the enemy, a blow from, which he would not easily recover.
