LORRY AND CAR COLLIDE

A collision occurred on Saturday between a car proceeding south and a lorry coming out of the Lower Hutt railway station. The car was driven by Mr. T. Spiers, who is suffering from shock. Of four passengers in the car Mr. D. Moneur received a broken nose, Mr. C. Morris a broken thumb and an injured collar-bone, and Squadron Leader Alan Boon was considerably bruised. Mr. Godfrey Magnus was the only passenger unhurt. The lorrydriver, Mr. H. V. W. Lewis, was not hurt. Both vehicles were damaged.
