D.S.C. FOR R.N.V.R. OFFICER
The award of the D.S.C. to Temp. Lieutenant Malcolm Campbell Waylen, R.N.V.R., of Wellington, is announced. The Admiralty Fleet Order states that the award was for "outstanding zeal, patience,
cheerfulness, and for never failing to set an example ox wholehearted devotion to duty." Lieutenant Waylen was entered in New Zealand as a temp, sub-lieutenant. R.N.V.R., for service in the Royal Navy. He returned recently to New Zealand to take up duty with the Royal New Zealand Navy.
