QUEENSLAND FIRE TRAGEDY

BRISBANE, September 24,

Four bodies were discovered in the debris after a fire which destroyed the two main -dormitory sections of the Salvation Army home for aged men at Red HiLl, near Brisbane, on Wednesday night. About 100 men were sleeping in the building when the fire broke out. Many were so feeble that they had to be helped or carried to safely. •

(Rec. 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 24. The Balboa correspondent of the "New York Times" says that an abundance of cinchona trees has" been discovered in the jungles of Uraba, Colombia. Tests of the bark revealed an exti'emely high content of quinine.
