STALINGRAD
NEW YORK, September 14. The "New York Times" says that Hitler, appalled by the terrific sacrifice of man-power for every inch of ground gained on the. Stalingrad front, has called Field-Marshal yon Bock back to headquarters for a report. Citing Italian sources, the newspaper adds that General yon Keitel will direct the final phase of the Stalingrad assault. The same source reports that FieldMarshal Rommel is at present in a hospital in Stuttgart,. Germany, suffering from malaria.
