PETONE TAXI SERVICE
Arising out of a discussion at a recent meeting of the Petone Borough Council when several members expressed concern that taxicab accommodation was not available to meet urgent maternity cases, 'the Wellington District Taxicab Control Committee last evening advised the council that arrangenients were being made to ensure priority of essential work, and if this- did not prove satisfactory consideration would be given by'the committee to a special issue of petrol or a reserve for maternity cases.
