WELLINGTON'S BIG DAY
Arrangements have been completed for two champion Air Force Rugby teams 40 meet at Athletic Park next Saturday, the match being to decide which team will represent the North Island against the South island in the New Zealand Air Force Rugby competition final.' The event will precede the Auckland-Wellington representative match, also to be played on Saturday. .The occasion will be made even more notable as a wartime Rugby event by the presence of the band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which will play selections and also contribute to tho ceremonial side of the afternoon's proceedings. The Services will be well represented In the Auckland and Wellington teams, which will be played on to the field by the band. Advice was received at this week's meeting of the Wellington Rugby Union's management committee that the Governor-General and Lady Newall had accepted invitations to be present at Athletic Parloon Saturday. Messrs. J. I). King and F. J. Tilyard were appointed managers of tlie Wellington team, and Mr. H. Murphy to look after the interests of the Auckland team.
