; Charges involving the conversion of motor-cars valued at £2729 were preferred against a boot factory worker, aged 17, at Auckland, states a Press Association message. Pleas of guilty were entered on each of 30 counts. Detective-Sergeant Trethewey said that the accused and a boy aged 16 had converted 30 cars from Auckland streets and had also stolen articles from the cars; ■ The accused was remanded for sentence.
