HERITAGE MOVEMENT
PRIME MINISTER'S INTEREST
The interest taken by the .Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) in the Heritage movement is reflected in a letter which Dr. Q. C. Mazengarb has recei\»d from him. The objects of the' organisation, he remarks, are most commendable and make a strong appeal to him personally. "In my capacity as Prime Minister," Mr. Fraser's letter continues, "I wholeheartedly endorse -the principle of helping these unfortunate children in the manner proposed.by the society, and I am very gratified at the keen interest and- enthusiasm shown at the inaugural meeting and the desire evinced by representative citizens to take ; a live and active part in the operations of Heritage. "I fully realise the great relief with which widowed mothers will welcome the help and assistance that the society, will be able» to give in lightening/in' large" measure the greater1 responsibility that these mothers, will \ have thrown upon them in this connection by the unfortunate loss of the head of the family, and I can visualise the desirability of the society's operations being extended to include daughters as well as sons. "As I have already mentioned to you, I«wish to be enrolled as a membeor of the organisation, and I take this opportunity of extending my very got A wishes for the success of the society's activities." t Means have now. been provided for citizens who wish to help the Heritage Movement to do so. . The organisers ask people who desire further information to give their names and addresses by telephoning 40-667 or 40-261 in the daytime, or 16-989 at night. • ' -
