SOLDIERS SENTENCED
The results of courts-martial held in the Central Military District have been announced as follows:—-
Private Theo Malcom Underwood, guilty of three charges of absence without leave (two of these while in close arrest), one charge of wilfully damaging public property (window of detention cell), one charge of improper possession of three ration cards belonging to a comrade. Sentenced to 120 days' detention. Private Jack Love, guilty of sleeping at his post while a sentinel. Sentenced to 120 days' detention. Signalman Anthony: Bradford, guilty of improper use of a Government motor, vehicle for private purposes, and removing an Army vehicle from a parking ground without authority. Sentenced to, 90 days' gaol with hard labour. :.■■ . ' Private James Donnelly, found guilty on two charges of desertion, one of escaping from lawful custody, one of losing equipment and clothing by neglect. Sentenced to 60 ' days' gaol with hard labour and stoppages of pay, £5 18s 8d (value of clothing and equipment) ordered. ': " Private, Roy Vincent, guilty of desertion and loss by neglect of equipment, clothing, and regimental necessaries. Sentenced to 90 days' gaol with hard labour and stoppage? of pay, £10 4s 2d, ordered. Private Timothy Michael • O'Connor, two charges of disobeying, the lawful commands of a superior officer. Sentenced to 14 days' detention. • . Private Wilfred Joseph Patterson, absent without leave. Sentenced to seven days' detention. ,*,
Gunner Walter Benbow Giiilford, absent without leave. Sentenced to seven days' detention.
