APPEAL FOR FUNDS
URGENT NEEDS OF NURSERY
Stressing the important work being done by the residential nursery in Owen Street and: its need of financial support, Mrs. A. B. Gibbons appealed] yesterday1 to members who were being entertained at ;her home: in Khandal- i lah. The nursery, she said, was in great heed of financial support and the guests were asked to help individually. Mrs. Gibbons, who is the president of the Khandallah-Ngaio branch of the Women's National Reserve, said that the nursery supervised the welfare of some hundreds of babies, and must maintain its high standard of efficiency. A musical programme, arranged by Mrs. M. Duncan, was presented. Mrs. Duncan and Miss Olga Burton sang, and Miss Dorothy Seymour gave elocutionary items. Mrs. Charles McDonald was the accompanist. The committee served a home-made afternoon tea.-
