OVER £1,000,000 A DAY
AUSTRALIA'S WAR EXPENDITURE
(Rec. 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Aug. 11. Australia is spending more than £1,000,000 a day on the war, announces the Commonwealth Treasury. At the present rate Australia will spend £376,000,000 on the war in this fiscal year, as compared with £319,000,000 last year. Next year the expenditure will be more than £400,000,000.
