RUGBY
Confirmation of dates for special matches was made at a meeting of the Wellington Rugby Union's management committee last night. The return match between Wellington's representatives and the New Zealand' Tank Brigade was fixed for September 19, and the match with Manawatu for September 26. Negotiations are still in train for other fixtures, including the match with Auckland^ After the senior cup competitions there will be a challenge to the Jubilee Cup winners for possession of the National Mutual Cup.
