EIGHTEEN MONTHS GAOL

Frank Albert Choldcroft, an electrical operator, aged 24, who had pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to two charges of breaking and entering and theft, one by night and the other by day, was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment on each charge by the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) in the Supreme Court yesterday. The offences were committed at Volga Street and The Parade, Island Bay, and the sentences will be served concurrently.
