NEW FRUIT CROP
BASIS OF PURCHASE
The annual conference of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation to--day approved the principle of pui> chase of pip fruit by the Government through the Internal Marketing Department as a war measure.
After discussion in committee, the conference agreed that the basis for the purchase price to be asked from the Government for next season's fruit crop should be the 1937 cost of production figure, plus assessed costs since that date.
