POWER FAILURE

Though a few minor'-.slips fell,-chief-ly in country: areasV all-the• roads in the Wellington district we're open for traffic .today. .The Paekak'ariki Hill rodd-is-.open again after being-closed for several days to clear ;a -big slip.
The Public Works Department states that while thei'e were-small, slips, locally they were soon cleared and nQ further damage of. consequence was done to road bridges in the Wairarapa; The Rimutaka Hill road is open., '
