NAZI/JUSTICE

LONDON, June 10.

Prague radio announced today that the entire male population of the vil* lage of Lidice, near Kladno, the Czech coalmining centre, have been shot on suspicion of harbouring the murderers of Heydrich. The women of the village were deported to a concentration camp, and the children were sent to educational centres. All the buildings were razed.

The population of the village was 1200.

The villagers are. also alleged to have had an illegal arms dump, a radio transmitter; and large quantities of anti-German propaganda. The radio further states that 31 more Czechs have been executed.

Vichy reports that in France two "terrorists" who escaped from gaol shot and killed a former Communist, Joseph Lover, who had become a follower of the Fascist leader Doriot. The shooting occurred at Lover's home in Nantes.

Another message from Vichy says that the Jews in occupied France have been ordered to wear the yellow star of David, with the inscription "Jew.'*
