N.Z. SQUADRON OVER
ALL PLANES GET HOME
'(By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright.) (Special Correspondent.) (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 1. The New Zealand Bomber Squadron took part in the big raid against Cologne when over a thousand planes dropped 10 tons of bombs every minute. All the members of the squadron returned safely. Wing Commander E. G. Olson, of New BJymouth, said: "Everything went to schedule. All the boys said it was a grand trip." It can be taken for granted that many New Zealanders throughout the R.A.F.—probably 100 or so— were among the crews bombing Cologne, for New Zealanders are found at nearly every station all over Britain, sometimes in groups or in ones and twos.
