TIDAL WAVE ON LAKE ERIE
NEW YORK, June 1. A freak tidal wave churned -by high winds swept a 50ft wall of water .along the shore of Lake Erie in the resort area of north-east Cleveland last night, drowning at least six persons and injuring others, and smashing scores of small boats.
