H.M.S. TRINIDAD

LONDON, June 1. The Admiralty announces that the 8000-.ton cruiser Trinidad has been sunk. • The Trinidad was launched in 1939. Last (March she was engaged in a clash with German warships and U-boats in !an attack on a convoy carrying British and American supplies to Russia. This action took place in the southern [Barents Sea. After crippling a large enemy destroyer, the Trinidad gave ch,ase to another destroyer, which escaped.
