NEW ZEALAND V.A.D. MEMBER

Advice that their daughter, Miss Frances Anderson, had died of fever m Egypt on April 19 has been received by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Anderson, of Abbotsford, Dunedin, states the Press." Miss Anderson was 23 years of age and engaged in commercial work after leaving school. She joined the Red Cross Society three years ago and passed all her V.A. examinations. She left New Zealand last December as a member of a detachment made up of Red Cross and St. John V.A.s who sailed to Egypt under the auspices of the Women's War Service Auxiliary, lhe detachment spent a short time in Australia and reached Egypt in February. Miss Anderson's sister is also serving as a V.A. in Egypt.
