"WAR OF SURVIVAL"
WASHINGTON, April 14. "War of Survival" is President Roosevelt's- tentative choice of name for the present conflict.
On April 3 President Roosevelt appealed for suggestions for a" suitable name for the war. He said that Government offices wanted a name for use in official correspondence, but that he preferred that the choice of a name should come from below rather than above.
