TO GO TO AUSTRALIA
■ APPOINTMENT FOR MR. F. R.
PICOT
The appointment of Mr. F. R. Picot as New Zealand senior supply officer in Australia was announced last night by the Minister of Supply and Munitions (Mr. Sullivan). For the past twelve months Mr. Picfctt has been New Zealand member on the Eastern Supply Group Council at New Delhi.
Mr. Sullivan said that Mr. Picot would assume most important responsi-
bilities in his new post in Australia. He expressed the Government's appreciation of Mr. Picot's services with the Eastern Group Supply Council, adding that reports he had received indicated that Mr. Picot's contribution to the work and success of the council had been outstanding and a credit to New Zealand.
Mr. Inglis, who has been working with Mr. Picot in New Delhi, is to act as New Zealand member of the council until a successor to Mr. Picot is appointed.
