HIT BY BOMBERS

SHIPPING AT RA*BAUL

SYDNEY, April 13. Allied planes followed up Saturday's destructive blows against the Japanese bases with two more bomber attacks on shipping jin

Rabaui harbour yesterday.

A direct hit was scored on the stern of a large enemy ship, which appeared to be on fire when the bombers left. A near miss also sent debris flying from the same vessel and two other near misses probably damaged her below the waterline.

A second attack was carried out later.
