(P.A.) HOKITIKA, This Day. The death has occurred after a short illness of George Albert Perry, 0.8. E. Mayor of Hokitika for the past 31 years. Mr. Perry, who was 70 years of age, filled many public positions, including chairmanship of the Harbour Board, member of the Westland Education Board, and member of the Borough ; Council (he became Mayor in 1911), president of the Hokitika Savings Bank, and chairman of the Provincial Patriotic Council. He leaves a widow and grown-up family.
