LOAFING

SABOTAGE OF MORALE

WASHINGTON, March 25.

Rear-Admiral Emory Land, chairman of the Maritime Commission, in a broadcast, declared that loafing by a small minority both in the production line and in the front office is endangering America's shipbuilding programme. Admiral Land said that although the ; strike problem was not serious now, "what is serious is loafing, and the person who is putting forth less than maximum effort is a victim of an insidious, infectious, and deadly disease known as loafing. Every loafer is a saboteur of morale, giving direct aid to the enemy."
