N.Z. WOOLLEN MILLS
DISPUTE
No agreement was reached in conciliation proceedings in Wellington yesterday on an application by the New Zealand Federated Woollen Mills and Hosiery Factories Employees' Association for a new award. "The hours of work, as well as some minor clauses were agreed on in the terms of the existing award. The main clauses of the application will come before the Court of Arbitration.
The employers' counter-proposals were for a renewal of the existing award.
