ENEMY FLATTERY

OPPONENTS IN LIBYA

(Rec. 2 p.m.)

CAIRO, Feb. 27.

A flattering estimate of his Allied opponents has been recorded by a German officer serving on the Libyan front.

He says: "The British, Australians, and1 New Zealanders are tough and hard opponents as individual fighters. They are highly skilled in defence, unimaginative and inflexible in attack, cold-blooded and skilled in in-fighting, experienced in assault, and capable of standing up to all kinds of hardships."
