PROBLEMS OF ALLIES
CHINESE ESTIMATE
LONDON, February 27,
Dr. Wellington Koo, the Chinese Ambassador in London, is to be China's representative on the Pacific War Council.
In a speech today he said that foxsome time an alternative route to the Burma Road had been under construction, and that another route was being developed.- He emphasised that the immediate problems of the united nations were strategy, strength, speed, and solidarity.
Against total aggression the nations must oppose total resistance. The more toil that was endured in the factories, the less would be the loss of life on the battlefield, and the sooner would victory be won.
It was essential that the spirit of the people should be fully awakened and their strength and co-operation enlisted for a united effort. This was all the more urgent because the Japanese were poisoning the minds of the people in the lands they sought to conquer with the doctrine of racialism. ■
