WASHINGTON, February 27
The question of self-government for India has been vigorously taken up by the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate.
The Associated Press states that influential members of the committee have made a demand on Mr. Breckenridge Long, Assistant Secretary of State, that Britain should be asked to give an immediate pledge of self-gov-ernment for India after the war.
