POST FOR N.Z. AIRMAN

Advice has been received that Flight Lieutenant D. Neville Milligan, a son of Mr. D. Milligan, of Wellington, has been appointed to special duties connected with the training of young pilots in the Middle East. Prior to this he had been o- service in Singapore, Ceylon, Alexandria, Malta, Egypt, and Gibraltar. On one flight he succeeded in carrying out a risky manoeuvre in order to effect the rescue of a member of the Fleet Air Arm who had been observed in the sea. When at Gibraltar Flight Lieutenant Milligan and Flying Officer Elliott were able to welcome a fellow-New Zealander,' Falcon Scott, who had made his escape from Germany after having been for nine months a prisoner of war.
