PILOT OFFICER McGILL
Pilot Officer H. M. McGill, who was recently killed as the result of a flying accident, was the younger son of Mr. Hugh McGill, of Rona Street, Eastbourne. Born at Eastbourne twentythree years ago, after passing through the Muritai School, he attended Wellington College for two years. His education was continued at the Auck-
land Grammar School, and he matriculated at the age of 15 years. He then studied for and secured a partial pass in accountancy, but his love of the open spaces led him to forsake his intended profession to .take up sheep farming. He joined the R.N.Z.A.F. fifteen months ago.
At the time of his death, Pilot Officer McGill was an instructor. He was keenly interested in yachting and tennis.;
