Appleton, chairman of the Wellington Technical College - Board of Governors, stated yesterday that in the event of a sudden alert students will be dispersed to natural shelter immediately adjacent to the college. Sufficient area, accessible and tree covered, is available, and in these areas students will remain concealed and protected. Some will be dispersed to large open spaces in Taranaki Street, to trenches which are prepared or to tunnels which are in course of preparation. The care of evening students presents no serious problem once the building is evacuated.
