PEACE AND WAR

«, CONFERENCE DISCUSSION

The Methodist Conference yesterday afternoon began a discussion in camera on the findings of the Public Questions Committee relating to peace and war. The committer's- findings, which arose out of certain recommendations about the church's attitude to conscientious objectors, were distributed to conference delegates in printed form.

Moving that the; conference go into committee and that only its findings be published, tlie Rev. J. Dennis said it was desirable to avoid creating a wrong impression which might make the work of the church and its activities in camps more difficult. The motion was carried.

The discussion was continued - in committee for a tune this morning and was resumed this afternoon.
