EVACUATING BRITISH FROM EAST INDIES

LONDON, February 25

Answering questions in the House of Commons today, Mr. Anthony Eden gave the information that since December the British Consul-General in Batavia had been arranging for the evacuation from the Netherlands East Indies fo Australia of British subjects, particularly women and children.
