STRONG ARRAY OF TALENT

Even though the nominations for the Wellington Racing Club's Autumn Meeting are not of the same dimensions as those at the Cup Meeting, they are excellent nevertheless. The open events promise to bring, .together the majority of the Dominion's best handicappers and sprinters, and a splendid has been received tor the North Island Challenge Stakes One interesting entrant in the weight-for-age race is Kindergarten. On the other hand, the St. Leger field is somewhat disappoi-iting, the New Zealand Derby winner, Battledress, l being absent, although he figures in the handicap events, and unsoundriess has kept the Great Northern Derby winner, Regal Fox, at home.
