"If they want us they will let us know," stated the chairman of the Wellington Fire Board (Mr. S. S. Dean) yesterday in reporting on a conference with the Lower Hutt and Petone authorities regarding co-ordination of emergency precautions. "We came away with the impression that it would have to be a pretty big fire before Wellington was called."
