WEDDING

CARTER—WATT.

The bride wore white parchment taffeta and her matron of honour wore red chiffon when Margaret Daphne, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. George Watt, 45 Austin Street* Wellington, was married to George Laird Carter, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Carter, Tauranga, at St. Barnabas' Church, Roseneath, on January 19. The wedding took place shortly before noon. The matron of honour was Mrs. Vivian Burt, Pahautanui.

The bride's graceful gown featured a gauged fitting bodice and full skirt. A coronet of orange blossom held her embroidered net veil in place and deep red roses formed her bouquet. Her attendant's frock was offset by a gold net shoulder veil and she carried a bouquet in autumn shaded roses.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Both the bridegroom and the bride's father wore the uniform of the Merchant Navy.
