AIR-RAID CASUALTIES

CIVILIANS IN MALAYA

LONDON, February 18,

It was stated in the House of Commons today that civilian air-raid casualties in Malaya reported up to February 3 were 2170 killed and 3955 injured. Other casualties notified up to the end of last week included 105 European civilians, comprising 15 killed, 17 wounded, 35 known to be prisoners, and 38 missing. A number of small parties of soldiers and civilians are known to have made their way from Singapore to ports in the Dutch Indies using small boats and yachts.
