E.P.S. LIAISON OFFICERS

Arrangements are being made for the appointment of liaison area officers of the E.P.S. in Wellington to co-operate directly with the Mayor and to deal with E.P.S/districts which will be allotted to each appointee. Their duties will be to make contact with wardens and through them all the groups operating in the particular district. Each will report on inspections of training equipment and every operational activity, so that the Mayor will be kept completely conversant with the situation.

Authority has been given the Town Clerk, Mr. E. P. Norman, and the City Engineer, Mr. K. E. Luke, to engage additional staff if necessary for E.P.S. work. Included in this is authority for the appointment of an officer to carry out full-time duties under the Transport Controller.
