CHARGED WITH THEFT
FORMER CAMP PAYMASTER
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 26.
Formerly employed as paymaster a? a military camp, Richard Seymour Powell, a clerk, aged 35, appeared in the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. J. Morling, S.M., on two charges of theft. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
The charges were of theft as a servant of the New Zealand Governmem of £50 belonging to the Army Department and £60 belonging to camp regimental funds. Powell, pleaded guilty to both. He was allowed bail in a surety of £100. ,
