HALFAYA HAS A REST

A VIOLENT SANDSTORM

LONDON, January 12. The enemy garrison at Halfaya has had its first respite after seven days of continuous bombing. The reason for this is a violent sandstorm which has hidden Halfaya Pass in a whirling mass of sand. < The efforts of the enemy to supply their troops by means of Junkers transport planes are not meeting with much success. Allied planes suffered no serious damage in the operations at Bardia and Halfaya.
