HOW ITALO BALBO DIED

LONDON, January 8,

Eighteen months after Marshal Italo Balbo's death, the Italian Stefani news agency has announced in Rome that an Italian gun killed him, saying. "Fire from an Italian cruiser hit his aeroplane, which crashed in flames over Tobruk. That was a tragic error, but nothing but an error.' All rumours that Balbo was a victim of treachery are untrue."

This fact was announced in Britain some weeks ago.
