BUILDING AIRCRAFT
DIRECTION IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 6. The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Mr. Essington Lewis as Director-General of Aircraft Production. He will have complete control and the widest powers to speed up the manufacture of aircraft and acquire the land and all the neces- \ sary materials and labour for the | manufacture and maintenance of aircraft.
.He will be assisted by ,an advisory committee ..composed of practical men in the trade.
