COLLIERY DEATH-ROLL
(Rec. 1 p.m.) RUGBY, Jan. 2. A death-roll of 58 is feared as the result of the accident in the Sneyd collieries at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
This morning the known dead numbered 16 and 42 men were still missing and presumed dead. Two men who were still alive when brought to the surface after the explosion died in hospital the same day.—B.O.W.
