The "Pravda" stated that among the equipment which the Germans left at Kaluga was a train 'which had just arrived with a load of new tanks.
A Kuibyshev message states that General Fedyunisky's troops operating in the Volkhov sector advanced SO miles in seven days, cleaned up an area of 250 square miles, and killed 15,000 Germans.
