MAYORESS'S APPEAL

NEEDS OF THE HOME GUARD

An appeal by the Mayoress for blankets, rugs, and cooking utensils for the Home Guard has not met with the response that it was natural to expect.

Householders, housewives, and many other people could surely spare a blanket, large billy, or some such article to help complete the quota of 1000 blankets, besides large pots, baking dishes, and big billies that are urgently required. Donations of any of these things left at the depot in the old library building, Wakefield Street, will be gratefully received.
