STATE HOMES FOR SOLDIERS
There will: be a keen demand for State houses when members of the forces return, the N.Z.R.S.A. points out. The position was difficult and serious. Tradesmen and materials were not available. The question of training some of the returned men in building and allied trades was discussed by the association, which has been advised that applications for State houses at June 30 last totalled 21,207. while 2 per.cent, of existing houses needed replacement •
